NCAA Clearing House Information

BGHS Athletes planning on continuing their athletic participation at the college level need to be informed of NCAA requirements.  Here is some information and contact numbers that you may find helpful in making sure you qualify for College Eligibility and Assistance.

NCAA Clearinghouse
Students who may be a prospective student athlete at a Division I or II college/university must be approved as eligible by the NCAA Clearinghouse. It is recommended that students register no later than the summer before their senior year; however, students need to meet with their counselor no later than the junior year to discuss eligibility.

Students and parents should visit the NCAA Clearinghouse web site to:

1. understand eligibility requirements.
2. access the NCAA Guide for the College Bound Student Athlete.
3. review Frequently Asked Questions.
4. know when/how to file required forms - check on certification status.
5. access phone numbers for the NCAA.

PROSPECTIVE STUDENT ATHLETES SHOULD TAKE THE ACT OR SAT IN THE SPRING OF THEIR JUNIOR YEAR AS THIS IS AN ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT.
